John earned his BBA from the University of Memphis and holds a Certified Investment Management Analysis (CIMA) designation sponsored by the Investment Consultants Association and co-administered by the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School. John began his investment management career of more than 20 years ago at Paine Webber /UBS. John's energy and entrepreneurial spirit led him to become a distinguished member of the Chairman's Council and Investment Advisory Council. Prior to founding the Santi Company, John extended the presence of an investment bank at its first Managing Director in Memphis. John was also instrumental in developing its very successful global investment strategy, highlighted by its partnership with a major hospital. John is a licensed security professional holding Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 licenses. John is currently a Registered Investment Advisor and Registered Representative of Arete Wealth Management LLC, a member of FINRA/SIPC.

John is active in community organizations, including the board of the Memphis Opportunity Scholarship Trust (MOST), the chair of the Sponsorship Committee of the Economic Club of Memphis, and a member of Society of International Business Fellows (SIBF).
